Madeline McDonald is a junior criminal defence lawyer with nearly two years post admission experience.
She graduated with a double degree of Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Criminology (Distinction) from Deakin University (Waterfront) in 2019. She continues her involvement with her University by assisting the Deakin Law Students Society (Geelong) in mentoring students in law competitions and appearing as a judge.
In 2021, after completing her practical legal training at Leo Cussen, she began her career as a Solicitor in a generalist firm in Gippsland Victoria where she worked in Criminal, Family and Employment Law.
Her passion for criminal defence work eventually led her back into the city working in privately funded matters and now has joined our team assisting in legal aid funded matters where she will continue to assist members of the community.
