Lex Larment

Lex takes a client-centred approach to all his matters and appreciates that trauma-informed practice can help people get the best possible outcomes available. He believes that everyone deserves a rigorous defence.

Before joining KPT Defence Lawyers, Lex was employed as a Tipstaff in the Common Law Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales where he assisted Judges in the preparation of judgments. He participated in a range of complex murder trials, sentencing hearings, bail applications and appeals to the Court of Criminal Appeal. He was also previously employed as a solicitor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and worked on a variety of matters, including robbery, assault and sexual assault.

Lex graduated from Macquarie University holding a Bachelor of Law (Honours) with a Major in Criminology. During his legal studies, he worked with the Aboriginal Legal Service and the Public Defender’s Chambers, assisting people from various communities charged with serious criminal offences.
